I love my home.
I always think I want to live in a minimalistic house, where everything has a place and everywhere is tidy. But the truth is I just cant, for many reasons, but mostly because I love stuff!
But this does make for a cosy homely home where you can plonk your things down without looking like a show home.
Don't get me wrong my house is tidy (ish) well as much as it can be with 5 children, 5 cats and any extras that may be staying with us.
My house is brand new or at least it was when we brought it 12 years ago but my style is really an old cottage full of character. Having a large family and a child who is disabled and a wheelchair user the easiest option was to have a new home that could be adapted easily. Which we have done
One day when all my children have left home then I will have the little cottage with the white picket fence and roses around the door...
I love to up cycle pieces i find in charity shops or given by lovely friends.
My style really is a miss match of old and new and especially handmade.
At the moment I'm covering my house in Cath Kidston wallpaper it really is lovely to put up.
I have a real love for cushions and throws which my boys love to build dens with..
Im in the process of decorating my home from top to bottom (again)
So I will add photos of each room as I finish, or as i find new pieces to pop in
~ My Kitchen ~
My Kitchen is really the heart of my home, especially as I work from home baking. I'm either in here cooking for the family, working on orders or generally cleaning (and sometimes crafting too) The walls were painted in a lovely cream t keep the room light with a pretty wall of Cath Kidston wallpaper.
The furniture has mostly been pieces I've upcyled using Annie Sloan paint.
The huge clock is from Ikea I love this sage green colour.
