This is a really lovely and easy recipe for chocolate chip cookies. When I had my cupcakery we would sell lots of cookies, now I make them at home for my children and give them as gifts. Popped into a pretty tin with tissue paper would make any one smile.
Ingredients
115 g Butter
175 g Caster sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
200 g Plain flour
1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
175 g Chocolate chips
Method
1..Cream the butter and the sugar in a mixer until light and fluffy.
2..Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix
3..Next put in the plain flour, bicarb and then mix through the chocolate chips.
4..Pop the dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes whilst the dough is in the fridge pre heat the oven to 180oC
5..Divide the dough in about 15 balls and space out on a tray. (I use greaseproof paper)
6..Put the cookie dough into the oven and bake for about 12 minutes. The cookies should come out the oven whilst still soft but golden brown around the edges.
7..Put onto a cooling rack and leave to cool.
Enjoy!!
Happy Baking
