Upcycled Dresser

After visiting a local charity shop I found this rather dark but solid dresser, for £50 wow! Not knowing where I was going to put it I actually brought it to sell. So I loaded it up in my car and took it home.
After doing some research and after buying a couple of books I decided to buy Annie Sloan chalk paint and a round headed brush too.

The chalk paints can be brought on line although there are stockists all over the UK. The website is here...Annie Sloan I love this paint for this sort of project. There's no need to sand down and no need to put an undercoat on. Once I'd finished painting I covered the dresser in a light wax. (also from Annie Sloan)
To add to the dresser I also brought 2 pieces of handmade wrapping paper and cut them to the size of the door inserts.

Well I'm now so in love with the dresser it sits prettily in my hallway so I wont be selling it after all. The chair in the picture has also had a make over. Which cost me only £5

Think you will agree it looks rather lovely in my hallway.
